All hamsters can be intelligent or unintelligent. You just have to train them from a young age. They could recognize their own names, know when it's feeding time, when it's dark out, anything!

you cant tell if just one type of hamster bites. if your hamster gets stressed out she/he may or will bite.
It depends on how they were raised, and where they were raised. If they were born just to be sold, then they probably will bite, because they were never picked up as a baby. But if they were bred for the joy of their parents' owner, and for the joy of other people, then they shouldn't bite, but again, it depends on how they were raised, and how YOU raise them. I recommend them for kids, they are a wonderful breed.

What are better Roborovski Hamsters or Russian Hamster?

there is a big difference between them as syrian hamsters are bigger than dwarf hamsters. There is quite a lot of different types of dwarf hamsters such as, Russian winter whites, Chinese, campbells, rovoroski and maybe more. But most dwarf hamsters can live with 1 or more of the same sex and syrians have to live alone - so if your hamster lives alone then its probably a syrian. aslo syrians are about half the size of a guineapig and dwarf hamsters are about half the size of a syrian hamster.

Are teddy hamsters easier to pick up than other hamsters?

Teddy/Plush hamsters are easier to pick up than live hamsters. Live hamsters move and may bite unlike teddies that stay still. . Syrian Hamsters (sometimes called TeddyBear Hamsters at Petstores) move slower than dwarf hamsters so they usually are easier to pick up. Also, they usually are less likely to bite, but they aren't too different from dwarf hamsters.

How do you know what breed hamsters are?

Syrian hamsters are the largest by far. Chinese hamsters have a proportionally longer tail than any other hamster species. Campbell's Russian Dwarf hamsters, and Winter White hamsters are easily distinguished from the other breeds, but harder to distinguish between the two. Winter Whites turn white in winter as they shed their darker fur, and the paler fur grows thicker. However the two species can interbreed, and your dwarf hamster may be a hybrid. Roborovski's Dwarf Hamsters are significantly smaller than other dwarf hamsters.
