Animals tend to eat a lot in spring and some animals like birds make there nests all ready for summer when they mate.
they tend to collect pollen to make more to make honey. the larva starts to turn into a bee and bees begin to die. they buzz around making new honey combs.
I would think they just stay in their nests and work.
The Queen bee resumes egg-laying to build up the colony numbers for the coming nectar and pollen flow.
