How do braces feel and should you go to school the day you get braces?
they will feel sore after getting them put on a wee while after it, but not enough that you should stay off school :) just need to watch what you eat so you dont break them.

I went to the orthodontist today. On the first day I went they did molds and x-rays. At the second visit they will tell you what they need to do to your teeth, such as, orthopedic care or getting braces. Then on your third visit they will give you braces, however this is only if you need braces.

The braces itself aren't sore, except the first day you get them. Braces aren't "sore" but if you play sports and get by n the mouth it doesn't feel good, if you get hit hard enough, it could make your lip bleed. Tighting doesn't hurt that much, it just feels like pressure on your teeth. So to conclude, I would say braces aren't so bad as everyone explains that they are..... they don't exactly feel wonderful either, you may bleed and yes braces may hurt off and on. Since you did not specify if you are a boy or girl i will say red, i feel that it suits the occasion, and will work for both genders. A girl may like to get pink though.

braces dont hurt when you first get them on, they start hurting when your trying to sleep & the day after, & spacers hurt they are way more painful then braces it feels like a piece of meats stuck on your teeth when you have spacers braces, bother you & feel uncomfortable for the first few days, dont eat anythang hard crunchy, eat oatmeal mashpatatoes, & noodles & stuff ice cream, & dont chew ice your teeth will be verry tense (sore),

Personally, I don't really like my braces. But I wouldn't say that I HATE them. They hurt sometimes, especially when I get them tightened. But, through all the pain, I still love my braces because they are making my smile straighter every day.

Spacers and how to remove them?
Spacers are the rubber bands that your orthodonist might put in between your teeth before about 2-3 weeks before you get braces. They are usually baby blue. It's kind of like getting braces. They hurt the first day or two, but the pain eventually fades away. Before getting braces, your orthodonist will remove your spacers with a scissor/tweezer like device before adding your braces.
