It depends on your denomination. The Seventh Day Adventists worship God on Saturday. Some Christians do nothing on Saturday to keep the day holy and others do some stuff and worship God on Sunday the first day of the week. Consantine started the Sunday Worship. There are a lot of pros and cons for the day of the week to worship God. My answer is that everyday is a day to worship God and it does not hurt to Worship as a fellowship on the Sabbath as shown in the ten commandments. Although my denomination does not do that.

Jehovah's Witnesses as Christians, do NOT observe a sabbath day. We feel that the sabbath laws were given to the Israelites, not to the whole world.

Likewise with all the animal sacrifices, that was for the Israelites; -- not for Christians.

Christians are followers of Christ, not of Abraham, not of Moses. Christians are not followers of the Israelites.

The sabbath was mentioned from the Old Testament days, the days of Moses. But we see that Jesus Christ very often healed people on the holy sabbath day angering the jews greatly. But we christians do not follow the sabbath rule strictly. we follow the new testament more.

The Sabbath day for a Catholic is Sunday, this was changed by the Apostles, as it was the day on which Christ arose. However, the Sabbath obligation remains, so we must worship God on Sunday and refrain from unnecessary servile labor (to the extent possible). The idea is to make the entire day for God, so we should not give up our regular daily work, but we should do something positive, Sunday is an excellent day to do works of charity, such as visiting a nursing home, visiting family members that don't get out much, inviting neighbors to dinner, etc. And remember to invite them to Church as well!

Most Christians do not celebrate the Sabbath. Sabbath relates to the seventh day and most Christians treat that day as any other - verses - the first day of the week, Sunday which Christians recognise as the day Christ was resurrected and most Christians worship corporately on that day.

Most don't or they redefine Sunday as the sabbath. They believe that Jesus' death and resurrection set them free from most of the Old Testament and fulfilled it. Early Christian believers were also Jewish, so they went to temple on Saturday to not make waves in the community, but did their real worship on Sunday.

Another Answer:

There are many Scriptures that state that the Sabbath is God's and not that of any person or religion. He gave it to the first man and woman directly after creating them. God does not need rest but knows mankind does and during this rest, He wants us to reflect upon Him and His creation and the promised future eternal rest for all mankind.

God has given mankind His plan of how He will save us in His 7 Holy Day Sabbaths. His Son, Jesus, told us He is the Lord of the Sabbath and it was He who established His Father's Church on Earth. He kept the Sabbaths perfectly via the physical and spiritual intent of it. Through Him, mankind will have rest. All Apostles and disciples after the Crucifixion of Christ kept the Sabbath until changed by Rome in the 4th Century AD.

Though codified for the 'called out' physical Israelites, the New Testament Book to the Romans writer Paul tells us we (Gentiles) are now 'grafted' into the root or ancestor of God's promises to mankind - Abraham. As such, true Christians are 'Spirtual Israelites' and are to follow our perfect example in Christ:

Leviticus 23:3 New International Version (NIV)

The Sabbath

3 "'There are six days when you may work, but the seventh day is a day of sabbath rest, a day of sacred assembly. You are not to do any work; wherever you live, it is a sabbath to the LORD.

Even more that 100 years after the Northern Kingdom of Israel was taken captive and scattered by the Assyrians and 'lost' to history, and the then Southern Kingdom of Judah which was in captivity in Babylon, God inspired His prophet Ezekiel (end-time Prophet as well) to say this about His Sabbath:

Ezekiel 44:24 New International Version (NIV)

24 "'In any dispute, the priests are to serve as judges and decide it according to my ordinances. They are to keep my laws and my decrees for all my appointed festivals, and they are to keep my Sabbaths holy.

Last point: The Law codified at Sinai has the Commands of God and the ways to implement them with the necessary punishments for breaking those Commands. About one year afterwards, because the physical Israelites could not keep these Commands, God gave them the temporary Sacrifical Laws with the Levitical Priesthood to administer for the people. These were concerned with foods and drinks, washing for purity, animal sacrifices for sin, etc.. It was these temporary, physical laws that ceased and the Covenant amended to reflect our new perfect sacrife and eternal High Priest - Jesus Christ - a new and better Covenant. The Commands of God, in which the Sabbath is the 4th, have never stopped, nor will they ever.

Which day is the real sabbath?

The real sabbath day according to the Bible is the seventh day of the week (our Saturday). God blessed the seventh day of creation and set it apart for holy use. And He told us to remember and keep the sabbath day holy in the ten commandments. Many Christians believe the sabbath is now Sunday, but the Bible nowhere speaks of any change in the sabbath day. There is no such thing as a "Sunday Sabbath" because the Sabbath [the 7th day] looks back and is a memorial to creation, while Sunday [the 1st day] commemorates the resurrection but also looks ahead to the return of Jesus Christ.
