When they first hatch start them on chopped green onion tops, but make sure that they are chopped VERY small. With the green onion tops chop some boiled egg just like the green onion tops ( VERY SMALL). Or you can buy some Turkey Starter in the granule formula opposed from pellet formula. Once they are older you can feed them leftover grain from recently harvested grain crops, they like grass seeds very much, or the occasional insect they will come across in the wild.

In the wild - mosyly invertebrates for the first few days, then increasing amounts of seed. In captivity - very fine chick crumbs/crumbles.

BOBWHITE Quail eat wild fruits, grass seeds, (they especially like Guinea Grass seeds) and left over grain from recently harvested grain fields. They will also eat a variety of insects.
