I had this problem. Had to go to shop and have the headlight wiring harness replaced. The wires are too weak and old thus causing them to either fuse together or be corroded. This harness cost $43, and the labor was $60. I thought it was the switch, and bought a used one, but it was bad. By the way, the switch is a recalled item from Chrysler and should have been replaced already.
what will make the brake light not work on a 1996 dodge dakota? fuses are good and bulbs are good
Switch most likely.
Back track on your connects and ground wires. I bet that does the trick. If not test your sockets and fuses. firstname.lastname@example.org
GO AND BUY I NEW light bulb !
check your fuses
Check your fuses
check the fuses and/or door switch(s)
If its not the fuses and you are getting power to the lights its most likely your ground not making contact. Clean all connections and try again.
either the switch is not working or a wire to the switch is broken
Headlights, interior lights, parking lights,Headlights, interior lights, parking lights,
There is a faulty fuse that goes to the interior lights. There could also be a short in the wiring that leads to the lights.
you have a bad ground or a hot wire is touching something it shouldn't be.. the reason it also happens when u put it in reverse is because of the reverse lights, check the wiring on both of your taillights
check the fuses and check the bulbs.
If you already checked your bulbs then check your fuses, usually this is the case when all the lights stop working at the same time.
Wipers, interior lights, exterior lights, alarm, some of the hvac system,.......
It could if it was built for the Canadian market. If built for the USA, no.
There are no breakers, only fuses in the under hood fuse box.
The rheostat on the headlight switch is bad.
