the problem is the bushings that separate the screws from ground. They wear down slightly- i found that by cutting a 5/16 hole into a metro card(credit card plastic)and fitting it to the same diameter as the bushing that i can make the horn shut off. However this is just a quick fix you will need a more substantial material then the metro card plastic to hold up for any duration of time. A thin nylon washer would probably do the trick.Good Luck... from Tim at Port Richmond AutomotiveAnswerthe problem is the bushings that separate the screws from ground. Check for fuel Check for spark
My car starts but it shuts off it says ck engine
well you bloddy air head, because it needs gas to start!
There may be many reasons why a 97 Plymouth Breeze won't start after running it out of gas. Even after you've put gas back in, if the spark plugs are bad or the battery is dead, the car will not start.
You need a special harmonic damper puller. It's a variant of a basic 3-jaw puller that it made stronger so that it wont break.
A 1996 Plymouth Breeze that starts and runs until it warms up, but then stalls might have a problem with a temperature sensor. The sensor is telling the computer that the temperature is too high for the engine to operate safely. Check the Electronic Temperature Sensor or the Manifold Pressure Sensor (MAP).
It could be the relay or the fuse or the horn itself. Or, it could be all three!
Valve could be hitting piston, not good. Valves may be bent.
It sounds like the security alarm is stuck. While this is happening take the key out of the ignition and shut the drivers door, then lock and unlock it with the key. If the problem stops even for a minute then the alarm is the problem.
Check the engine ground before replacing parts. I have a 97 Plymouth Breeze that would not turn over, but the lights and radio worked. After replacing 4 parts (starter/solenoid, ignition switch, crank case sensor and safety switch), it turned out that the engine was not grounded properly. Once the ground was reattached correctly, car started.
There is also a small switch on the transmission that goes bad. This prevents the transmission from shifting. Bring it to a transmission shop and have it changed. It usually costs about $100 or so including labor... or you can do it yourself.
horn will not stop honking on my 2004 pontica grand am
YOU HAVE ACTIVATED THE CARS ALARM,PUT YOUR KEY IN THE DRIVERS DOOR LOCK AND TURN IT TWICE TO THE RIGHT.
had same problem; check switch on driver side ., if it operates the passenger side ok, then just replace the driver side window switch .. $20 part from the dealer.
If the lights in the car come on, then at least part of the system is getting power. Check the battery connections again. Then check the starter solenoid and starter to insure that they are getting power and are working properly.
Could be both caused by an output speed sensor. You should have the computer checked for codes to know for sure.
occasionally wen they wont shut up
When that happened to our Breeze, we changed the fuse, now we have one that wont go down, its the motor of the power window. I HATE THIS CAR, anyone out there wanting to buy a Breeze DONT DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the climate in mexico is hot in the smmer but if there is a cold breeze during the summer thtn it is really cold in the winter. But if there is not a cold breeze and its just like light thatn there winter wont be as cold as it would with the cold breeze.
Check the fuse?
jaws is a shark and sharks will not shut up until they have eaten or annoyed everyone on the planet.
check the headlight/multifunction switch
Sounds like the horn has a bad connection. I would replace the horn switch in the steering wheel.
well, check all the fuses and check the horn relay if not work. if horn relay sound but horn not working, then you will have to check the clock spring for loose connection or tighting it.you can even look for bad wiring connection to the horn system.
