What do plants give us?

Plants give us oxygen because they (the plants) breath in what we (the humans) breath out. And they also help us by growing food for us such as fruit or vegetables.

plants give us oxygen

Everything either eats plants, or eats something that eats plants.

  • plants convert carbon dioxide to oxygen
  • provide us with food (vegetables, fruit and cereal crops - wheat, flour, rice etc)
  • shelter
  • fuel (oil, gas, wood are all plant derivatives)
  • building materials
  • clothing (cotton etc.)
  • as mentioned above they also provide animals with food, which in turn end up on our table as well - they also contribute to secondary food sources such as milk, which comes from cows which eat grass.
  • THERE ARE PLENTY OF OTHER THINGS - just take a moment to think about a world without plants!
