What do press ups do?
Exercise your triceps brachii muscles, primarily. They do not give you bigger biceps, although done properly they will exercise muscles in your back and abdomen as well.
overload means to overload your fittness or to do more work e.g if you 30 press ups a week no proberlem your fittness will increase but not by much. but when youerload your body e.g instead of doing 30 press ups a week you du 50 a week and then your fittness will increase by more than if you do 30 press ups a week
lots of reps. of push ups everyday, chest press machine, or bench press would work too..... for push ups at least 20-30 (or more, depends how many you can do) of them everyday and then increase the number when you feel comfortable..... chest press and bench press are up to you when determining the weight and reps.
A very good question indeed. Using dumbbells (I'm assuming you mean dumbbell bench presses) allows you to increase the weight meaning you can exert a greater force with your muscles, meaning bigger pecs. However press ups develop what is called functional strength, which is basically strength you can do in day to day tasks. Also press ups work your core. I would suggest using both to get the benefits of both
to build serious muscle you need to perform resistance based exercises (weights). the best exercises for home based work outs, without the weights are your own body weight baring exercises. try: press-ups -- sit-ups -- pull ups -- handstand press-ups -- single leg squats. these all have different variations, by placing your hands in different places will work different aspects of your muscle groups. press ups-- further your hands out, more your chest-- closer your…
If you are wanting to build chest muscle's, position hands at a wider 'stance'. say for example, slightly wider than the width of your shoulders. if you want a mix of chest and tricep, position hands under shoulders. if you want mainly tricep then place hands closer together, directly under chest. when you can comfortably perform this, raise your legs onto a bench and perform the same. when you find this easy, try clapping between…
Well, first you need to work your upper body out. Lots of pull-ups and push-ups will help. Before you do your press handstand, you need to know how to do a regular handstand. (learn a regular 1 first). *TIP- USE HIP FLEXORS TO HELP YOUR PRESS HANDSTAND. start in a raised straddle position and gently raise your hips and legs until you are in a simple handstand. PRACTICE!
