There is only one official language in Russia and that is Russian but there are over 100 minority languages spoken in Russia today (with the most popular being English)

Russian, of course. there are various dialects and the Ukrainian is different in some grammar and spelling , as they spell Anastasia with two I"s and pronounce it somewhat differently the Sovietskaya Ukraine ( roughly Soviet Ukraine- Soviet here used as an adjective() is no longer part of mainline Russia, but is an independent nation of the CIS. There are different types of Ukrainian flags, also.
