My guess is that the levers are used to recline the seatbacks like they do in my father's Chrysler Sebring.
how to removed the front seats on 1987 Mercedes Benz ,300 SDL
it works on the vacuum of the engine; when you reach a certain speed the seats will be locked
Look in the car manual
manual says there is a latch in front of trunk on top.
manual says there is a latch in front of trunk on top.
There are levers on the bottom of the third row seats. Pull the levers up and push the seat back. The seat can then be lifted out.
Open the trunk and pull the levers coming from the back of the seats.
In the trunk, their are two tan levers at the top of the trunk, right in the front. Give them them a good pull, and u should hear the sound of the seat's clamp release. Then pull the seats down.
it seats 5
Could be the switch between the front seats, or a fuse, or a shortcircuit in the wire with power from the battery.
No
First, bring the seat backs all the way forward (so they make a stool seats.) On each of the middle seat "Captain's chairs" there are two levers. There is one on each side of the seat at the hinge facing front. One is on the "outside" of the seat and the second lever is on the "inside" of the seat. Release both levers preferably at the same time) and that will release the front hinges. The rear hinges do not have a release lever and can be "rocked" out of their postings for removal.
