No, an opinion and a fact are two very different things. A fact is something that is, and an opinion is something that someone thinks. For instance, I may think that a certain type of flower is pretty, but somebody else may think that the flower is ugly. These are opinions. However, if I was to say what the flower was called or what color it is, it would be a fact. Basically, if the statement is something that someone believes or thinks about something, it is an opinion. If the statement says what something is, it would be a fact.
