Grilling is where the heat is directed at the food from above. across maybe 6-8 elements or burners. The opposite of barbecueing really. The food - usually fatty, is placed on a wire grill over a pan to catch the fat and the heat from above it cooks it and the fat drops into the pan. It's a healthier way to cook sausages (sausage links) bacon, burgers, chops, steak.
