Eating the afterbirth is natural. It can help to stimulate milk production, and it's nutritious. However it can cause the mother to develop diarrhea, so if you wanted to dispose of the afterbirth, that's okay too.
After giving birth, the mother dog's food requirements increase as she produces more milk for her growing puppies. Be sure to give your dog free access to as much as a good quality puppy food that she wants (it has more of the nutrients she needs), as well as access to clean water.
Yes. Check to make sure there is no sign of blood in her stool. She has been under a great deal of stress and probably ate the afterbirth.
I'm not actually sure sorry
It's heavier for a day or two, then it should slowly taper off for about the next two weeks. If it is heavy for more than a few days or does not look right, I would take her to a vet to make sure all the afterbirth has been expelled & no dead puppies left in her uterus.
Puppies and kittens cannot be reset. Once they have been activated, there is no rebooting them.
It can but it could give you all sorts of sicknesses including food poison.
This question is impossible to answer ! Unless every litter of puppies was registered with some authoritarian group there would be NO way to accurately state how many puppies have been born !
no
Puppies in general are not harmful. They can become aggressive if they have been abused or in difficult situations. If you give them the proper care and training puppies should not be harmful to humans or other species of animals.
Yes. Chihuahuas have been known to even have puppies with very large dogs like a lab.
It is possible that they can have puppies but they must be the same breed and have been together for a very long time like more than one year
I would suggest going to the vet first and seeing if they can help. Just see what they recommend and your puppies will sure to be fine.
