To tune violin strings, one needs to use a tuner (violin or chromatic). A violin teacher, a perfect pitch and a tuned piano or keyboard will also be required.
At a local music shop, or a (preferably professional) violin teacher, or maybe another skilled violinist :)
it depends on student.
You don't use vibrato, it's not...like...a tool. You must learn it. Have a music teacher or a family member who plays violin or anyone who plays violin to teach you.
Sorry, but this is impossible. It takes months to learn the violin, and years to perfect it. Take lessons from a good teacher.
Violin sholder rest are really important. You need it so you won't get a sore neck like my orchestra teacher @ school.

I suggest going to your violin teacher because beginners could pop a string. Or go to Quinlan and Fabish, they do it for free.
Your music/strings teacher would able to find it for you.:)
Turn the peg to tighten the string to the proper note. If you don't know how to tune ask your teacher. If you don't have a teacher, get one.

Good luck finding an honest appraiser! Violin resellers need their cut so they cannot answer exactly. As a student, I ask my experienced teacher about these things. A good quality violin that old is likely to be worth a lot, so get many quotes to form your opinion.

If it breaks then you buy a new one. If it comes out then you ask your music teacher to show you how to fix it.
Well, my violin teacher charges about $60 an hour, but the prices vary. I think they typically range from about $50 to $70 an hour. But by violin classes do you mean private lessons or the actual music institute like Orchepia? I've never went to an institute and instead had just private lessons so I'm not sure about the pricing for the violin institutes though.
You play a violin with a bow consisting of a stick with a ribbon of horse hair strung between the tip. First, it is good to have a violin, a bow, rosin, a tuner of some sort, a soft cleaning cloth, and an introductory violin method book such as Suzuki Violin School Volume 1 or Essential Elements for Strings Volume 1. It is also good to have a private teacher to help you learn if… Read More

If you want to learn to play the violin, it's best to get lessons off a proper teacher. I'm sure there are tutorials out there on the internet, but it really best to get lessons. Answer The violin plays some of the same notes as the piano, however all notes on the piano can not be played on the violin. Additionally, there are notes that are played on violin that cannot be played on the piano, e.g. micro-tones, quarter-tones, etc. The violin also has a more diverse set of techniques to manipulate sound, including pizzicato (or the plucking of the string), ponticello, and col legno (playing with the wood of… Read More

Exams PLAYING ON the violin? Why, practice of course! But there's no point in practicing with incorrect techniques, so the first thing is to find a good teacher/professor who will teach you techniques, and confirm that you are doing correctly. All the famous legends on the violin from the past till now practice everything slow at first, so I recommend that you do so as well. Practice practice practice! and Enjoy.

Well, the violin in the movie isn't a real instrument. It's a made-up story. It is said that the inspiration for the story is the Antonio Stradivari "Red Mendelssohn" violin which was made in 1721. This is currently played by a musician named Eleizabeth Pitcairn and was purchased for her a number of years ago for $1.7 million. It could be worth twice or three times that figure today. The story is completely fictional. Blood… Read More
Can you home teach yourself to play the piano or violin then get graded and are these instruments difficult to get good grades in?
The violin is very difficult to teach yourself, so I would recommend tutor or teacher for that one. The piano is not as hard, but still at least a tad challenging. It takes a lot of concentration and patience. It depends on where you live, and if you're in high school or college. Violin is very difficult to get a good grade in, but so is the piano because it's a talent you acquire over… Read More
Generally, the switch happens in the opposite direction. Most schools begin teaching students violin in elementary school, and don't switch students to viola until later. "Harder" orchestra music calls for viola more often than other music, and in "easier" music 3rd violinists can cover the viola part. As a result, the only reasons a person would usually have for switching from viola to violin are a lack of teacher, lack of access to the instrument… Read More

Violin 1 usually has more of the melody line than 2nd violin. The second violin is still very important and sometimes the 2nd violin piece is harder than the 1st violin piece.
Violinists use the violin. I use the violin.
A violin is hollow. The hollowness of the violin allows it to make sound; a solid violin will not play unless it is electric. If you look inside the f-holes on a violin you can see the inner wood of the violin.
