If in a safe/public area, I would pull over to the side of the road and allow the car to pass. They are apparently in a hurry. If not, I would change lanes to see if the car would continue to pass. If the tailgater continues to follow you, I would turn in a public area like a 7-11 or gas station or police station if available. Make sure it is a public place wtih people in the area.
It is incumbent on you to drive in as safe a manner as possible, regardless of what other people are doing. As such, if you're being tailgated, your job is to make the situation a safe one. This usually involves pulling over and letting them pass, slowing down, or both. If you feel they're being especially unsafe you can call the local traffic authority or 911.
Note that driving slower than the speed limit under safe conditions in any lane other than the rightmost lane may be an offense too.
The best thing to do when someone is tailgating you is to slow down a very little bit, or pull over into a slower lane of traffic, and give them every opportunity to pass you. Then just let them go on.
Wrong. That may cause an accident with damage to all vehicles involved and will delay your arrival at your destination. You should slow down to give the person behind you a reason to go around you, or you should change to a different (slower) lane, or both.
Either call 911 or knock on the closest door. then call 911.
Added: Pull over and let them pass. If they pull over behind you THEN follow the above advice.
wait until passing is safe, then slowly reduce speed.
you pull over to the side and let them pass all you can do is worry about what your doing.
If you have a tailgater, slow down, pull over, and let him pass. Anything else is agressive, dangerous, and illegal.
Change lanes tap your brakes use hand gestures
H
true! but.......... false if they are a aggrivated driver.
Of course you do, and if they crash into you and get hurt it's all their fault!
Expect the worst and be very cautious.Be ready to isolate yourself from the situation.
The law and the police will say no because you'd be intentionally increasing the likelihood of an accident, but maybe if everyone did that often enough, people would actually stop tailgating.
You should maintain the current legal speed. On a two-lane road, move slightly to the side of the road to indicate that the tailgater should pass. For an aggressive tailgater, you can exit the road at a populated area so that he will have to continue on without you.
Change lanes as soon as possible

Yes or if you are in fast lane you should move right since you are not traveling fast enough for lane you are in
Then it should be taken to court and the tenets of the will followed.
