Anyone should always pay their seat belt tickets. If you do not, you will be given a summons to appear in court. If you do not show up to court, a warrant will be issued. If this happens, the best thing to do is pay your ticket and turn yourself in so it does not get worse.

What are the different civil court levels in Colorado?

At the trial court level, there are two main courts that hear civil cases in Colorado - District Courts and County Courts. District Courts have general jurisdiction over civil and criminal cases, but generally hear cases beyond the jurisdiction of other courts, including Family Law cases. County Courts hear small claims cases and other civil cases with under $15,000 in dispute, as well as limited criminal cases including misdemeanors. Colorado also has Municipal Courts, which mostly hear cases regarding violations of city and town ordinances, but also share jurisdiction with District and County courts over civil protection orders. Each county in Colorado has a District and County Court, though some counties combine the District and County court functions into one court. Each Colorado county also has at least one municipal court (except for Denver County), and some counties have several. Colorado also has several additional courts that hear civil cases. The Colorado Water Courts hear cases regarding water rights and usage at seven locations throughout the state. Denver County has specialized courts for Juvenile and Probate matters, in addition to a County Court and District Court. Can a traffic court judge increase the severity of the offense if my speeding ticket was for 70 mph but also indicates my true speed was 78 mph?

My guess is probably not. It is the officers job to write you down for the speed you were clocked at. The purpose of the judge is to be an impartial official should you choose to oppose the ticket in court.

What can a Florida resident do if he gets a speeding ticket in Glynn County Ga?

If the ticket was from a county sheriff or state trooper, your case should be in Glynn County State Court. If the ticket was from a Brunswick police officer, or within the Brunswick city limits, your case will be in Brunswick Municipal Court. Either way, you can pay the ticket online; each court has an online payment system. Find both at the first related link below; just scroll down to Glynn County. You can also pay by mail to both courts. Instructions are on the court websites, which are found at the second related link along with contact info for both courts. If you pay online or by mail, you will be pleading guilty and the ticket will be on your record, which could affect your insurance rates. If you want to fight the ticket, you'll have to arrange a court date. You will probably have to travel to Brunswick for the court appearance, although a local attorney might be able to appear on your behalf. You'd have to decide if a trip to Brunswick and/or the cost of an attorney is worth keeping a ticket off your record.
