What do you do if you have used too much flea medication on your cat?

Call your vet or an emergency animal clinic immediately, and have the info of the flea med available when you call. If you can't contact your vet, or if there is no emergency animal clinic available, look on the flea medication package for a phone number or a web site address and contact them - now! If none of the above is available, call the National Animal Poison Control Center at 1-800-548-2423 or 1-900-680-0000 for specific information. In some cases, you can even call the emergency room at a local hospital. Specific antidotes are available for some poisons, but they cannot be administered unless the poison is known, so have the package available. But you have to call someone NOW!
