You have to be honest with your friend. Your friend may not speak to you for awhile, but will slowly come around. If you aren't sure about this person you both like and have no real intentions of having a relationship with him/her I would simply back off. If you are interested in this person, then please be honest with your friend. If you have a very close friendship with your friend no man or women is worth losing that friendship over.

∙ 13y agoAsk yourself just how much you value your friendship. If your friend means more to you than your love-interest, then let your friend have him/her. Good friends are hard to come by! The friendship could be compromised if you fight over the love-interest.
hey, they don't like you, ok? so they're not going out with you whether or not your friend goes out with them. May hurt but your friend likes them, they like her, so you should have nothing to do with it. you may like him too, so either tell him or don't. But coming between them won't do you any favours. And you have a better chance with him if you do tell him, by the way. but don't sweat it.

Also you could try to "woo" her yourself (become a couple and then dump her) she should no longer like you, thus giving the other guy a chance.
