I suggest if you miss two doses that you just take one of the normal doses as soon as possible. I am currently on 5 mg Lexapro once daily and I have missed my medication before. Never take two simultaneously and understand that this drug works collectively over the days you have taken it. The half-life of this medication is longer than most medications. In simpler terms, this means that the medication works by building up in your system and missing is dose or two will not have tremendous impact or really "mess" you up. Just take your dose as soon as you can! [: It is said that those who have been on it long term will experience withdrawal but because of the mechanisms of this medication, it can often take up to 10 days for the withdrawal symptoms to appear since it stays in the system for so long and builds up. This all depends on metabolism. You should be just fine! Take it though to avoid withdrawal.

YOU SHOULD NEVER increase or decrease ANY medication (especially the one you are on) without your doctors permission and supervision. If the doctor told you to up the dose slowly then there is no reason you should get the jitters because your system is already use to this medication. In fact, you could have the jitters because the dose may not be high enough for you. Up this dose ONLY with your doctor's permission!
30mg Lexapro why this dose?
The highest usual dose for lexapro is 20mg. So 30 will not help you. Sometimes a higher dose is used for OCD, but it probably won't help. Switch down to 20!

I'm pretty sure the max dose is 20mg. If you wan to go above that you take Celexa; which is where Lexapro came from...that can go to 40mg as far as I know...I went from 10mg Lexapro to 40mg of Celexa...it wasn't so great for me. I couldn't hardly stay awake...the sleepiness is supposed to pass....
