They have Labor Relations Boards, which are concerned exclusively with union representation. If you are unable to work due to an on-the-job injury, Federal Worker's Comp law requires that you be compensated. If you're permanently disabled, your employer must pay for that. Contact the US Dept. of Labor, or an attorney (the less sane US approach.) Be aware that you do have responsibilities while you're on workers comp. You can choose your own doctor, but you have to keep all appointments, provide documentation that you're unable to work, and stay in regular contact (at least weekly) with the employer.
