Well, you can remove your crickets and you can either get dead crickets or even feed them worms. But make sure you do not get super worms because they have teeth and if one gets out, it could be bad.

It depends on the age and species of the gecko in question, as well as the number and size of crickets. My adult male leopard gecko gets 5 or 6 large crickets every other day, but I know several other Leo owners give theird 3 or 4 every day instead. As for other types of geckos, you'll have to research that on your own.
It's more than likely ground up cricket exo skeleton, if your feeding your leopard gecko crickets, than this is a good sign that everything is being digested properly.
Yes - crickets have very little mineral content in their bodies - dusting them with a vitamin powder will ensure your gecko gets sufficient minerals on top of the nutrition the crickets provide. Additionally, feeding the crickets with a varied diet of their natural food will make them a better meal for the lizard.
