What do you do if your itouch won't turn on even though it's charged?

Try putting it into DFU mode. To do that,
1.Open iTunes and connect the iPhone to your Mac.
2.Press and hold the Home button and the Sleep/Wake button at the same time.
3.After exactly 10 seconds release the Sleep/Wake button.
4.Continue holding the home button until you iTunes pops up a message telling you that it has detected an iPhone in recovery mode.
5.Then unplug your iPhone and wait for it to shut off. After that turn it back on and it should be back to normal.

∙ 12y agoIf your iPod will not turn on try one of two things. First try charging it before you power it on. If it does not have enough power it will not be able to power on. If that does not work try plugging it into your PC and restoring its original factory settings.

∙ 11y agoThis could depend if you have ever jailbroken your ipod.....
if you dident jail break your ipod then it might just be out of battery so charge it. It might be turned off fully if it is then hold the power button for 7 seconds and it will turn on. If it turned off unexpectedly and it wont turn on at all then hold the power and home button until you see the apple logo and wait for it to restore then check to make sure you have all of your apps, music, videos,and anything else. if this dosent work bring it to an itunes store to get checked out.
if you have jailbroken it usaly there are things on the jailbreak download that you put on your cputer (if you did do it on your computer) try using the reboot setting there that may help.... if that dosent work it might need to be restored witch will make you lose evrything on your ipod if you do that or if it dosent work then a new ipod is gonna be the olny way D: .

If it still doesn't turn on, hold the Home and Sleep/Wake button simultaneously for six seconds.

∙ 13y agoWhat you do is you plug it into a power source and wait till it sort's its self out if that still doesn't work hold down the turn of button and then wait a bit and it should then turn on.

Your battery needs to be charged or changed out. This is a classic "dead battery" situation. Even though your battery may be good, or tests good at your local autozone, make sure it is charged all the way.
