Just press the home button and the power button at the same time for about 10 seconds and then turn it back on and it should work.
If that does not work just wait for the battery to die and then plug it in

∙ 13y agoyou may try to plug ti in the computer but that wont work. so what you do is hold the top power button and the home button until the apple logo comes up then it shall restart, you refresh it, and then its all good. this happened to me just now and so i looked it up figured this out and believe me it works!

∙ 13y agoHold the power button down,Then....!STILL! keep your finger on the power button.then hold down the home button below the touch screen) and it shuts down the iPod touch.if this that did not work plug your ipod touch into your PC!

∙ 14y agoThis has happened to me before.. you simply have to reset your ipod by holding down the two buttons (on/of and exit) at the same time. When it has restarted it should be fine.
Though I should warn you to only do this when necissary because restarting it too much could cause your more problems.
