Before ruining a friendship talk to your friend about it first. Tell her your feelings and get her opinion. After all, she knows her brother way better than you do. She may give you some really good advice.

∙ 14y agoYou should let him know. Don't directly tell him, but act in a way you would with any other boy you have a crush on. Don't hide it from your friend, either. Let her know. Build up to it in a conversation, maybe by asking if she liked anyone at the moment or mention how you really like someone, and then break it to her gently. She might even be able to help you break the ice with him and get things started. Set your priorities straight, though. Make sure you know who is more important to you: her or him. Let her know that you won't let him come between you and if she says she doesn't like it, it might be best to not pursue a relationship with him. Just because you can't be with him, though, doesn't mean you still can't be around him and be friends. Try to be his friend before you try for more, first.
