You respect his wishes and stop contacting him. Neither one of you is obligated to be friends or to keep in touch. You may feel that you can be friends, but your ex obviously feels that it will easier for him to move on if he has no contact with you.

∙ 12y agoYou can't force anyone do do anything against their will. If your ex doesn't want to talk to you, there is nothing you can do to change that.
Get on with life ... find a new partner as it's obvious the former partner wasn't the right one for you in the first place. Life is too short to hang on to your former life. Keep going ahead, one foot in front of the other, and never, never look back. Your life will be far better without the ex.
