This will depend on when the error message comes up. If it is before the game pulls up the launcher, you need to re-install your game.
If it is after the launcher but before you actually get into a household, it could be a few things. First, if you have custom content, you need to ensure that there are no corrupt files in it. Easiest way to do this is to (temporarily) move ALL of the custom content from your game folder. Once this is done, try booting up your game. If it starts without issue, you have a corrupt file in your downloads and will have to sift through it to find out which one is borking your game. With custom mods, you should check to see if there are any updates from the creator of the mod. This could be an easy fix that could save you a lot of time. If the error still occurs, you have a different problem which is hard to assess without more details. Sometimes, it could be as simple as re-installing and you're good to go...other times, it is a driver (graphics card is the usual culprit) that needs to be updated.
If it is while you are actually playing a household...well, it could still be a corrupt download, but the chances are slightly lower. If it happens when you do something specific and EVERY TIME that you do that thing, corrupt custom content would most likely be the issue. If the thing that is being done is interacting with a custom object then you have an easy task. Find that item in your downloads and remove it. This should solve the problem. If it is random, try re-installing.
I'm sorry that I couldn't be more precise, but without details it is just hard to answer such a question.
for my answer it does it to me saying error probable the server is doing maintence
It forces an error, which brings up an error screen. Don't mess with it though, it can mess up the game.
Absolutely not
You are buying an expansion pack and need the base game(sims 3) to play it already installed on your pc/mac
(how to update your sims 3) go to your game launcher and select game updates if it says that there is no updates just wait and then when you go to game launcher and it says that there is an update avalable then click yes then your game willl be up to date. hope that helps
Go to the EA website, go to the tab that says most popular games and the click sims. Then just pick the game you want to download :) but does not have the original Sims Game. do not fall into the spiral.
Yes. You can do this by going to the Sims 3 menu, and rather than clicking 'save' to save your game, go to 'save as...' and then rename the game. This should work.
No its only on computer which is why when you get the game, it says PC on it.
some people error code 5 and if that's not it II'm not sure
You cant add another expansion pack.. when you didn't update your game... all you have to do is reinstall which basically means to update. Then you should be able to install world adventures.
When you start the game theres a pictere and under that the text says strangetown
keep trying till it works, or shutdown and get back on :)
