That's not a very detailed question, but you should probably deal with a co-worker just as you should deal with anyone else; with professional courtesy and respect. And since he's only a co-worker, you only have to do it eight hours a day.

First, RESPECT is the issue. Don't lose your cool and good professional manners. You may like to keep track of several issues (the ones that most disturbed you) and without reveal that obnoxious person's name, discuss the issues on the next appropiate meeting. If this preliminar aproach doesn't work, discuss the matter with your supervisor to have a direct contact with this problematic party. Dual communication is vital. Perhaps a good seminar-work shop will be ideal for both persons. Good luck!

It all depends on the type of problem. Sometimes just leveling with them works "John, when you do X it causes Y. I don't know if you intend that or not. I will work with you on it if you don't"

Then there is Judo. Seriously. Divert their force elsewhere. Guide them toward some other problem and be rid of both. If you look for opportunities to use two problems to cancel each other out it is amazing how often it is possible.
