Gasses and Liquids do not simply "mix".
it drys up and dies.... :p
Solid: Computer monitor Liquid: Water, liquid nitrogen Gas: Air (mix of many elements that are all gases)
They are made of different states of matter
nitrous oxide is manufactured by heating ammonia nitrate which decomposes into N2O and water vapor
The vapor comes from the flavored liquid inside the e-cig. The liquid (usually made of a mix of propylene glycol and vegetable glycerin, with or without nicotine added) is heated just enough to vaporize it (convert it from liquid to gas).
Refrigerant enters a direct expansion evaporator as a saturated liquid vapor mix and leaves as a superheated vapor.
Water, of course ! Water is the liquid that doesn't mix well with oil.
In the laboratory, cold fluids are commonly used. A mix of shaved ice and distilled water is used to establish the "triple point of water" - 0oC. A mix of alcohol and 'dry ice (solid CO2) is used to freeze out any water from a liquid. And liquid Nitrogen is used as very cold liquid to cool vacuum plant etc.
its a liquid that does not mix in water.
its a liquid that does not mix in water.
Normally we say solids (such as salt or sugar) dissolve in a liquid such as water. However, you can mix two liquids, such as water and alcohol. We usually call that 'dilution' instead of 'dissolving.' The total volume of this mixture is less than the sum of the volumes of each liquid on its own because the individual molecules get tight with each other (water and alcohol molecules stick forming essentially a bigger molecule.) A liquid can evaporate into a gas, like water turning into invisible water vapor in the air. Individual molecules of water get going fast enough to rip away from the surface tension of the water and then can stay in the air. When you see steam above a tea kettle, that's not water vapor, that's tiny droplets of liquid water, as in a cloud. (This is from water vapor condensing into liquid again when it hits the cool room air.) When the steam disappears and you can't see it any more, that's when it is water vapor. Another answer: Liquid does not dissolve. It evaporates into a gas, like the air we breathe. When it cools, it turns into a liquid again.
mix it with water
