One adult sized leopard gecko would require a minimal of 10 Gallons of space. Tile/paper towel substrates, heat reaching 85-95 with a basking spot of up to 103-105F, a bowl of standing water, 1 humid hide, 1 dry hide, some rock decorations and live feedings 2-4times a week.

Leopard geckos are solitary animals and should not be housed with any other animal. Females of similar size and weight usually house fine together. Males should only be housed with females if you are wanting to breed. Males should only be housed with females during the breeding season, or from 6-8months. Always provide the females with a short rest prior to breeding again.

Typically, leopard geckos like to be alone. But it is possible to house a female leo and a female African fat tail together since they are very closely related and require about the same needs.

Hi! I own a leopard gecko and in its cage is a hot spot which is a rock that it can climb in and a cooldown spot which is a log with wet moss in it. I use calcium sand so if the gecko eats it it will not get harmed. and i let a couple crickets roam around if the gecko gets hungry. I dont recomend the heated rock because it can burn the gecko.... then I have a shallow water dish so he can get a drink.

you basically need a light, a tank, a basking area inside the tank, food & water, and of course, your leopard gecko.

Well for starters, at least a 15 Gal glass tank for 1 gecko (20 at Walmart), and heres where it can be a bit tough... geckos need one side that can be hot, and the other side room temp/cool. They also need a moist hide (for females a loose substraight would be best. I use coconut fiber), and as for substaight i use paper towels because it is the safest (DO NOT USE SAND! It could cause a prolapse is your gecko eats it!), a calcium bowl, and a water bowl! It is optional but they do enjoy it, things to climb on! If you want the expensive things, a bride or some rocks work great... but as an owner of 6 Leos.... they love when i put toilet paper rolls or paper towel rols cut in half into their tank. They can hide in it if they want, climb on them, and if even seen some of mine roll them around.

Can panther geckos live with leopard geckos?

Leopard geckos cannot live with panther geckos. Even though care for both are generally the same, there are some huge differences between the two. Leopard geckos are usually between 7 and 10 inches long (some almost a foot), and panthers are 4-6 (or occasionally up to 8) inches long. This size difference alone could do it. The Leopard geckos would pick on the panther geckos. Also, the climate of the two needs to be very different. Panther geckos live in southern Madagascar naturally, while Leopard geckos live in Afghanistan and neighboring countries. Panther geckos need higher humidity levels than Leopards, and lower temperatures. Together, either the leopard gecko, or the panther gecko, will suffer, if not both. Please, don't keep these two creatures together. It won't work out well.
