For every negative, answer honestly, but give a reason you still take pride in what you do. Here are some examples for ways to answer What do you like the least about your current job:

  • I work at a fast food establishment near a highway. I must admit, I don't like cleaning the urinals and toilets. However, I take pride in keeping the bathrooms clean because many travelers are on the road and need clean facilities.
  • I must sit most of my day as a telemarketer. However, I really enjoy talking to people during my shift, and my co-workers and I practice some simple stretching exercises during our breaks.
  • Well, the company where I worked last still kept mostly paper files, which I found can be overwhelming. But I learned I enjoy organizing. I developed an easy filing system, color-coded, which my boss really liked.
  • I prefer spending some time with people each day. As an order packer, I didn't have much interaction with my peers. So I volunteered to mentor new employees, and I love it.
Remember that an interviewer is NOT really interested in hearing you list numerous negatives about another employer---in fact, if you only complain, that will make you look bad. Instead, they ask this to (1) gauge how well you will fit into a job and (b) how flexible are you and can you make lemonade from lemons--can you find a beneficial way to make a negative work for both you and your employer.

I don't have too many negative things to say about my current roles. Being in the operation field is very complex because I give support to the Entire Region. I am team player and expects for my team member to put in their contribution towards the team to ensure that the work gets done. I also believe in effective communication. It makes it hard when I try to follow up on an issue and there's no note pass along to the team.

You don't want to be too negative in answering this question. You could say there isn't a lot of room for promotion and the hours don't fit into your schedule.
