Primary memory is that which is directly connected to the motherboard for the CPU to process, meaning your RAM modules. Secondary memory is located on the hard drive in a virtual memory (called a page file or swap file) when the RAM modules have no more room to store data that is still running, but still needs to recall some as soon as it can swap out what processes have the higher priority.
When the RAM and page file are full, you will notice a lag in computer performance as it struggles to process so much data at one time. If it exceeds the limits of your memory and processor, the system may crash. A fixed large swap file and more memory makes the CPU work less and a better, faster CPU will keep the memory demands lower. This is why more memory and a faster CPU is needed for more complex data processing. To reduce processing even further, a dedicated graphics card with it's own memory and built in CPU that handles the graphic processing allows for the RAM and CPU to work much less, making the computer much more faster.
primary memory-he is called primary memory because this is the internal memory of CPU .This memory tempararey scope for data.this memory is called vallatile memory because when the power swiched off store data is finished. This memory relatively fast for primary memory
Primary storage is volatile memory and requires power to persist. It is directly accessible by the CPU and it is used to store instructions for the cup and the data the CPU is currently accessing or manipulating. Secondary storage is non-volatile memory, which will persist without power, and it is used for longer term storage of data and is not directly accessible by the CPU.
Primary Storage means the RAM, seocndary storage is the HDD (hard disk drive).
More RAM makes the computer faster when transfering temporary datas. Their all temporary, so they all will get wiped out after a system restart.
But in secondary storage datas get kept permenantly. Eg: When you save an image on your hard disk drive, it stays there and could be accessed even after restarts.
primary memory is RAM, ram is volatile and is used to store information while it is being processed. secondary memory is basically hard drive space that is permanent. volatile memery is lost when power is disconnected
"Describe different types of primary and secondary memory of a computer?
RAM or random access memory is the primary memory in the computer
NGANGA....................
Computer data storage, or memory, is the means through which the computer records and accesses digital data. The two types of storage are primary and secondary. Primary storage includes RAM and process registers, and secondary storage is the hard disk and flash memory.
A primary source is the original source.A secondary source is like a copy.
Usually the hard drives are considered secondary. The RAM (Random Access Memory) is the primary memory.
ram is primary Jake
triadic, tertiary, secondary, primary, quatrenary, monochromatic
primary consumers are herbivores and secondary consumers are carnivores so secondary consumers eat primary consumers
primary data is where you get o fact off a computer or from a book secondary data is where you get a fact of someone and it might not be true
secondary means you were there and saw the info primary mean you have heard it from somewhere else
two types of memory i.e. primary and secondary memory.
the different kinds of industries are primary, secondary and tertiary
No a Secondary Resource is totally different from a Primary Resource so it can't be the same. Primary Resource-The person who was there on that occasion Secondary Resource-The person who was not there on that occasion but knows a lot about it
The traditional primary colors of the color wheel are red, yellow, and blue. The secondary colors are formed by mixing any two of the primary colors, making orange, green, and purple (or violet). Confusingly, different primary and secondary colors exist on the spectrum of light (such as on your TV screen or computer monitor), and they are red, green, and blue, having secondary colors of cyan, yellow, and magenta.
