Don't list anything. Just list skills and explain to the potential boss of your circustances. An employer wants to know if you can work for them and if you have skills, past jobs don't matter as much.
The matter is, actually, the light, in which your potential employer views your resume, and it's entirely up to you. However, you can add something about freelance (if it's applicable to your area of expertise) - just in case.
