Place a piece of emery paper on a hard flat surface and rub the mirror base base across the surface
3.3 Camlock Mirror Removal procedure: (Common Method) " Grasp the base of the mirror. " Rotate 90 degrees left or right. " Slide mirror downward toward dash to remove.
there is a set screw in the base of the mirror loosen then slide up
Rotate the mirror base 90 degrees clockwise and it will release from the base. Then remove the electrical harness. This came from a repair manual. I have not tried it.
Just scrape the glue off with a new single edge razorblade. then wipe with alcohol. You are going to have to get the mount out to glue it back on. check for a set screw, if none there is a spring clip holding it in. Use a small screwdriver to push it down while pulling the mount.
open the door remove screw holding molding to base of side view mirror. seperate molding from mirror. remove bolt holding top or side view mirror to A-pillar. remove bolts holding bottom side of mirror to A-pillar. disconnect wiring connector.
remove four end caps from metal base below seat ..remove two bolts slide seat remove other two bolts....make sure batttery disconected at least 30 mins before unpluging seat...(airbag in seat)
it clips on to the base by little "hooks" on the outer edges
Remove the door panel.Unplug the connector to the power mirror.Remove the three bolts from the mirror base.
To remove the old mirror you should be able to lift the rubber up at the base to un-bolt, or turn the base around 90 degrees to expose the bolts.
to replace the right side door mirror on the 1992 Chrysler New Yorker, first remove the interior door panel. Then, remove the access cover at the base of the mirror inside the door. Then, remove the three bolts and the wiring that holds the mirror in place. You can then attach the wiring to the new mirror and housing, and then bolt it into place on the door. Replace the access cover and the door panel.
There is a small opening under the base of the mirror. Stick the end of a coat hanger in there while wiggling the base pushing upwards towards the roof. It should loosen up and come off.
remove interior light by using a flat tool or knif then remove white backing plate by genitally pressing two lugs together then remove bottom of aerial base this is metal then unscrew base
