150/60 = systolic bp / diastolic bp .... this means your systolic BP is elevated and needs to be taken care of unless you were really stressed out or exercising when the BP was taken. Otherwise a BP of 150/60 is treatable medically (pills) or you can try diet and exercise if you are overweight that will bring it down also. Textbook normal is 120/80 but your 60 diastolic is fine... cardiologist would say the lower the better as long as you are not dizzy or constantly fatigued.
Dangerous but not instantly fatal hypertension characterized by a high systolic and very high diastolic pressure. Blood pressure at this level needs to be clinically managed. Prolonged time at this BP increase stroke and MI risk as well as long-term damage to liver, kidneys and other organs. Seek out a cardiologist. Or even talk to your own doc. You can't run around with 110 diastolic pressure all the time.
This is High ! and I'd like to recommend you see your doctor.
Steps to lower your BP:
1). Lose some weight
2). If you smoke stop or cut your intake in half, I'm a smoker and understand how hard it is to stop. I don't want to stop because of my job stress, so I just cut way back.
3). Eat better more healthy
4). Get proper exercise
5). Less Salt intake
WARNING:
These all contribute to high BP. Although you need to follow what I've out lined here...Please take my advice--I urge you to see your doctor. I suffered 18 Heart attacks and three massive plus I'm a widow maker Survivor from a 98% blockage. In the ER, I actually had the stupid nerve to tell the doctor, I was stepping outside to smoke while having a massive heart attack. The doctor was completely shocked and the staff said they never had a patient do that ever!
