It doesn't say 'I love you' (red rose)but it means a little more than 'just friends'(yellow rose). The white rose is elegant and tells the receiver they are something special to the giver. The number of roses sent does not hold any significant meaning. But most often, roses are given just because of their beauty, not their meaning.

∙ 11y agoMy guess it has something to do with Philadelphia, the Ross family (you have heard of the Betsy Ross league- which was primarily concerned with preventing Flag desecration) - and of course this banner came out of her shops in Philadelphia. It might even be the Ross Family coat of arms which does not directly use the flag design, but might say it with Roses. I am referring to the l3 star flag associated with Miss Ross, and the Naval variant with an anchor at 30 degrees, usually in Gold. The Battle Cruiser Constellation derives its name from this heraldic design. In like manner the Chevron on the Princeton University Crest honors the Battle Of Princeton, without being overly militaristic. Thirteen stars on a chevron- on our Treasury dept seal- this looks best in red and white, of course ( provides for the Common defense!)
