Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is all the believers' true home.

Roman Catholic AnswerOur Blessed Lord said quite a lot about the Kingdom of God, as a matter of fact, it was the core of His teaching. In Mk 1:15, He announced that the Kingdom of God is at hand; in Luke 17:20,21, He says that the Kingdom of God is in our midst; and in John 3:3, He says that we must be born again to see the kingdom of God. In Mark 1:15, Jesus message concerning the Kingdom of God was ... " repent ( have a change of mind which issues a regret for past sins and in change of conduct for the better) and believe (trust in, rely on and adhere to) the good news (the Gospel.) This is the Amplified bible translation

that he is the only way to God and that you should be saved basically

Additional thoughts:

God's Kingdom is a 'government' by God(Daniel 2:44) and Jesus is the king of that Kingdom government(Isaiah 9:6)(Revelation 11:15) which will solve ALL of mankind's problems from war (Psalm 46:9; 72:7), to starvation (Psalm 72:16) to crime (Psalm 72:12-14) and all pain and suffering (Revelation 21:4).

Because of it's import, Jesus spent most of his 3 1/2 year ministry, preaching and declaring the good news of the Kingdom of God(Luke 8:1)(Luke 9:11)(Luke 4:43), and teaching his 12 apostles to do the same(Matthew 24:14) (Matthew 28:19+20)(Luke 9:2)(Luke 16:16)(Acts 1:3).

When he was on earth, Jesus said "the kingdom of God is in your midst"(NIV), or 'among you", because he was the representative of that Kingdom (Luke 17:20-21)though the religious leaders of his day did not want to accept that.

At Matthew 19:24, Mark 10:23-25,and Luke 18:25 Jesus describes what would be needed to be approved for the Kingdom. He says that it will be easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to get into the kingdom of God, because of the tendency of the rich to become haughty and dependent on their riches, rather than God.....Whereas others who had been wrongdoers, but were humble enough to learn what God's will is and change their behavior, would be approved for the Kingdom because of their repentance and 'child-like' trust in God(Matthew 21:31-32)(Mark 10:14-16)(Luke 18:16-17)

And once we know the truth about God's Kingdom, we must follow God's directions closely to get there(Luke 9:62). Jesus apostles did not understand when the Kingdom would take effect(Acts 1:6) and Jesus showed that alot of time would pass before it came(Luke 19:11-15), and that we would need signs to understand when it has arrived(Matthew 24:33)(Luke 21:29-31)

The hope of ruling in that Kingdom was taken from the Jewish Nation as a whole, and given to a group who would obey God,(Matthew 21:42-43)(Hebrews 8:9) Jesus' followers (Luke 8:10). It was with this group that he made the covenant to serve with him in God's Kingdom(Luke 22:14-18)and be 'born again' spiritually(John 3:3-5)(Revelation 5:10)

The beginning of Jesus' preaching was the kingdom of God:

From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand. (Matthew 4.17)

And during his ministry Jesus told many parables about the kingdom of God, (Matthew 13).

Probably one of the most important things Jesus said about the kingdom of God was:

Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you. (Luke 17.21)

"As beutiful as the night sky and as loving as God himself."

New Testament perspective:Jesus never gave a literal description of God's kingdom; he spoke of it in parables, figuratively likening it to other things. For examples of what Jesus said regarding the Kingdom, see Mark chapters 4 & 10, Luke 13 & 17, and John 3.

The wonderful news of the coming Kingdom of God is the heart and core of Jesus Christ's message for humanity. Jesus will return to earth and establish this Kingdom. He will be the Ruler of the Kingdom of God - a literal Kingdom on Earth where He and His Saints will rule forever:

Revelation 11:15 New King James Version (NKJV)

Seventh Trumpet: The Kingdom Proclaimed15 Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

This message has been delivered in the Old Testament as well:

Daniel 2:44 New King James Version (NKJV)

44 And in the days of these kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom which shall never be destroyed; and the kingdom shall not be left to other people; it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand forever.

All of this will be given to those who love God and obey His Commands:

Daniel 7:27 New King James Version (NKJV)

27 Then the kingdom and dominion,

And the greatness of the kingdoms under the whole heaven,

Shall be given to the people, the saints of the Most High.

His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,

And all dominions shall serve and obey Him.'

Another Answer:

The kingdom of God is where God's throne is, where He is worshiped and obeyed flawlessly by everyone there, that place can only be heaven. It is usually confused with the kingdom of heaven which refers to Christ's millennial kingdom, that is to be upon the earth.

Matthew 13 gives several parables comparing the Kingdom of Heaven: to a sower of seed, a Mustard Seed, leaven, hidden treasure, a very expensive pearl, a fisherman's dragnet, and a householders treasures. All these reflect upon the Kingdom of God - a synonymous term.

The Gospel message of Jesus was about the Coming Kingdom of God which began with His manifestation as a man, then the Church of God He established and being fully manifested upon His 2nd Coming. During the Millennial Rule of Christ and shortly after the Great White Throne Judgement process, the citizenry of the Kingdom will be complete and God the Father and His Throne will come down to the New Earth in the New Jerusalem (see Revelation 21). The next chapter begins with the entire God Family - all His new sons and daughters.

What does it mean to say that Jesus understood the Kingdom of God as being communal in nature?

well he is the god's sonA:The kingdom of God was central to Jesus' preaching and He describes it in many of His parables. He spoke also of the glad tidings of the kingdom (Luke 8:1) and of the mystery of the kingdom of God (Mark 4:11). The kingdom of God is God's ruling, the sovereign reign of God. Jesus regularly invited people to enter the kingdom of God, that is, to open their lives to the ruling of God. He invited everyone. He spoke of God sending His servants out to the highways and hedges to urge people to come in to the kingdom. The apostles began to speak of eternal life, salvation, forgiveness, and other themes. The kingdom of God is righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit (Romans 14:17). Communal, in the strictest sense of the word, as it applies to the kindom of God, actually negates the need for God's presence and I doubt Jesus would understand it to be that way.
