The preaching of Muhammad was the same as every other Prophet or Messenger sent by God.
They came - all of them - as bringers of good news, and as warners. The good news is for those who worship God in His Oneness - not considering anyone or anything else as divine (not even Jesus). They will have forgiveness and a great reward if they reamian true to God.
The warning is for all those who worship other than the One God - or deny God altogether - and commit great sins for which they have not repented. In fact, disbelief in God, by itself, or worshipping someone along with God, is enough for a person to receive damnation.
Muhammad brought the Final Law for all Mankind, and exemplified the Law clearer and better than any before him.
Peace be upon Muhammad and upon Jesus, Moses, Abraham and all of God's Prophets and Messengers.

- A belief in the foreknowledge of God regarding the future.
- A belief in a next life. The soul will live on after judgment day and exist in either Paradise or Hellfire. Some souls, whose sins are minor, will be allowed to leave Hellfire and enter Paradise after their punishment has been served.
