If a itm call option is 9 and the share is trading at 10 it is itm but why do you say that a 9 put is otm if the share price is 10 what is the history to this seemingly inconsistancy?

When a stock is at $10, a $9 strike price call option allows you to buy that stock at $9, which is $1 cheaper than the market price, hence it is in the money (ITM).Now, when a stock is $10, a $9 strike price PUT OPTION allows you to SELL that stock for $9 when you can actually sell it for $10, so there's no value in it, right? (why would anyone want to sell a stock at $9 when he can sell it for $10, right?) That is why it is out of the money (OTM).It is not an inconsistency but that you did not understand that options moneyness for call and put options are the reverse.

Are requirements of margin in put options writing?

There are regulatory requirements and then possibly further restrictions based on the specific brokerage. The requirments probably something like this: Greater of these 3 values:1. 100% of the option proceeds + (20% of the Underlying Market Value) - (OTM Value)2. 100% of the option proceeds + (10% of the Strike Price x Multiplier x Contracts)3. 100% of the option proceeds + ($250/contract)

In 223 Remington with a 1 in 9 twist rifling what is best bullet weight?

1-9 is a very versatile twist. It should be able to handle the varmint bullets above 40 grains, and keep you entirely stabilized up to 62 grains. It's not so much the weight of the bullet which matters, but the length. I would think that anything under 77 grain OTM might be just fine, but...Over 62 grain I would be careful.

Can the value of put option be negative?

Yes. The investment term for this is "out of the money," or OTM. Today's example is a "naked put" on 100 shares of Microsoft at 40 that expires on July 25. (As I write this it's 44.69.) Alison bought the put from Bill. In the good old days, if Microsoft went far enough below 40 to make her happy Alison would notify her broker that she chose to exercise the put, Bill would pay her $4000, Alison would buy the stock and give it to Bill, and she'd keep the profit. In the modern electronic age Alison visits her online brokerage account, clicks the "exercise option" button, and all that stuff is handled in about five seconds. But this is the thing: Right now, Microsoft stock costs more than forty bucks a share. If she clicks that button it will cost her more money to buy the stock than she'll receive from selling it so she won't exercise the option. And that's what Bill is counting on: Alison paid Bill money to enter into this transaction. It's called the Premium. If the option expires worthless, she normally won't exercise them and he keeps the premium. (There are a few scenarios where she might want to exercise an OTM option, but they're rare.)
