Zakat is spent on the following categories:
1. The poor and the needy
2. The collectors of Zakat
3.Those who may embrace Islam
4. Passers-by
5. Those who are in a debt
6. Those who fight in the cause of Allah
7. Those who want to emancipate
It is payed for the poor and needy people to provide food, shelter, education, medical treatment, payment of loans, salary for the workers on collecting and distributing zakat, and for any other activities for sake of God.

there are two type of Zakat: obligatory Zakat and Mustahab (recommended Zakat). Recommended Zakat is same as non obligatory donations. Syed can receive non obligatory Zakat from all. but obligatory only from Syed.

If mosques are not available for Muslims with the convenient capacity, Muslims will not be affected as they still can pray even in open air around the mosques or in other open air spaces. However if food or medicine is not available for Muslims, Muslims will sure be strongly and negatively affected. What priorites do you think to pay zakat? Is it to pay zakat for one who is in urgent need for daily food, for medicine, or for making medical operation or to pay zakat for building a mosque or purchasing carpets for this mosque.
