That depends on the quality and number of the cabinets, any additional trim pieces, the condition of the floor and walls, hardware installation, and so on. Multiple pieced crown and under-cabinet moldings can significantly increase a labor estimate, and so can out-of-level/plumb floors, ceilings, and walls.

There are many variables involved in making kitchen cabinets. Usually (unless the carpenter really needs the work) a cabinet maker cannot build kitchen cabinets for what you can get them for from an outlet like Home Depot, Lowe's, etc. That is why you see so many adds for cabinets at 60% to 80% off. In reality the big box stores aren't cutting this much off because they are mass produced, which cuts labor considerably. To hire someone to custom build all of your cabinets will run much more than prefab cabinets. You might purchase some nice oak or alder cabinets for $2500.00 from a big box outlet and have to pay a cabinet maker $5,000.00 to $10,000 to make the same style cabinets. If it is your desire to have them custom built the cabinet maker has to hand build each one. The costs will vary depending upon styles, wood used and drawers / doors. The basic cabinet consists of a box, with shelves and a face frame to hold the door or drawer securely, and specified milling for the doors or drawers. There are many different wood and non-wood products that may be used to build cabinets. Plywood is strong but can warp. Particle board covered with a layer of melamine is great, doesn't warp, but cannot tolerate moisture well. Hardwood is almost always used for face frames of good kitchen cabinets however some prefabbed cabinets use particleboard with photo or laminated plastic overlay. The most important thing to consider when hiring a cabinet maker to build custom cabinets is to get a list of references or even better view the cabinet maker's work, then consider and compare price. Only have custom cabinets made when the cabinets you want are unavailable and/or the specific job is going to be a showpiece of your home and will add considerable value and/or increase saleability significantly. In most cases people will have custom cabinets made to compliment existing cabinets, as prefab cabinets needed are unavailable. In this way costs are managed by combining the lower cost of prefab good quality cabinets with custom made cabinets that match or compliment what you have.

What does it cost to install kitchen cabinets?

AnswerCustom kitchens cost "custom" money. Most of the kitchen manufacturers will customize those cabinets that you will need in your project. Your kitchen cabinetry will consist in a full optimized space, another advantage is if you want a pinkish door front with Bears logo on it you can have it. Custom cabinetry means that every cabinet is hand made, This means every cabinet has a chance of human error in making, but the good part is the manufacturer is committed to fix that " ERROR " and make the project PERFECT.go to aahallabouthomes.com
