The hop up usually isn't a button, but rather a dial or a screw that is mechanically linked to the breech end of the barrel. The dial adjusts pressure to a small rubber component that is in between the dial and a rubber bucking. The bucking is a rubber tube that goes around the back end of the barrel. As the hop up is adjusted, the bucking will be pressed harder and harder into a small opening on the skyward side of the barrel producing an adjustable upspin on the BB as it is fired.

The hop up can usually be completely reduced, allowing the bb's to fall natrually once leaving the barrel, or can be tightened too much causing a near vertical flight path after about 40'. The trick is finding the balance so that the bb will travel level for an extended distance before falling.

hop up is what you use when you need to adjust your gun when the bb flies lower or higher than you want you can adjust it to go straight. the adjustable kind is usually on higher quality guns. some you just move a switch back and forth for hop and less hop.

It is a system of parts:

- Hop up chamber: the system of small gears that push a nub down on the bucking

- Bucking: a soft rubber cylinder that fits over the small hole in the barrel

- Barrel: where the bb travels through

Here's what happens: the bb's get fed through the magazine, it goes through the hopup chamber, drags a tiny bit on the hopup bucking that is getting pushed down by the hop up nub, the goes through the barrel, and comes out with a slight backspin that makes it curve slightly upwards to increase range

It puts a backspin on the bb to increase flight distance. However, too much hop up can be bad, but not enough is also bad. Correctly adjust your hop up on a normal day (not windy) with a target. It should be at the distance that you normally acquire targets (the distance you shoot people at).

It controls how much backspin your gun applies to the bbs. In some guns it is preset while in others it is controllable

It is a piece of rubber that hits the BB causing it to spin therefore increasing your range and accuracy.

Can you replace your hop up on a airsoft gun?

yes

On the m83a2 airsoft does the chariging handle work?

If it functions like a typical m4 style airsoft gun with an adjustable hop up, then the charging handle opens the dust cover to reveal the hop up.

How do you adjust the hop up?

If your talking about an airsoft gun, then it all depends. Your gun must first be capable of having a adjustable hop up, then if it does, it should be a little wheel or a little nub either along the barrel on in the chamber.

What is a hop up for airsoft guns?

"Hop-up" on airsoft guns can be either adjustable, or is already put in the gun. What adjustable hop-up is, is a switch usually on the side of your gun that you can control the amount of backwards spin the bb has when it comes out of the barrel. The more spin backwards, the better, this means the bb is going to fly straighter, farther, and more accurate because when it goes through the air, the backwards spin keeps it floating. I would suggest a gun with adjustable because you can judge your shots. ( by the way, hop-up that is already in the gun means you cant adjust it, it stays how it is)

How do you adjust spin-up on an airsoft gun?

Spin up or Hop up is when a bb is shot from an airsoft gun, there is a friction placed on the upper side of the bb while exiting the barrel. This friction causes the bb to "spin upward" or a backwards / under spin. This mechanism is called the Hop-Up. The Hop-Up configuration determines the range of bbs or extend the effective range of an airsoft rifle. Most spring airsoft guns come equipped with "built-in" Hop Up which is not adjustable nor calibrated. However, higher end models, such as gas airsoft pistols and electric airsoft rifles can be adjusted or calibrated both to the type of BB being used and the flight path desired. The below diagram illustrates the effects of hopup and how to callibrate your airsoft gun correctly. Towards the bottom of diagram it coveres the bernoulli's principle and it's effect on the path of a BB with hopup.

Does the well mb04 airsoft rifle have very well accuracy?

Yes this gun has great accuracy if you adjust it and set hop up right

How do you curve an airsoft bullet?

You put on the hop-up.

Is it good or bad to have hop up on an airsoft gun?

Good... usually. Without hop-up, BBs tend to fall after ~15-25ft. However, be sure to get an adjustable hop-up, or you can end up with BBs going straight up after ~15-25ft! Learning how to fine-tune a hop-up is a crucial skill if accuracy is important.

Can you make an adjustable hop up airsoft gun have no hop up?

It depends what type of gun it is. If it's an M4, pull back the charging handle and you should see a wheel. Turn the wheel and shoot as you normally would to see if the hop up is on or off; if there is no change after turning the wheel in one direction, try turning it in the other direction.

Can an airsoft gun shoot without a bucking?

The mechanism will operate, but you really wouldn't be "shooting" per se without any projectiles to launch.

What is hop up?

on airsoft guns, the hop-up will put spin on the BB and cause it to go further and be more accurate.

What does the charging handle do on the Tokyo marui airsoft gun?

for most guns they are just for decoration...an airsoft rifle is a 1 : 1 replica of the real deal...when you say charging handle I am assuming you are reffering to an M4/M16 varraiant. the charging handle on these models are how you would load the ammunition in to the gun to be fired. (Cocking it) on airsoft for most part it is a non funcionting piece some models by pullint the charging handle lets you access the hop-up. again it all comes down to the brand and make/model of the gun.
