Best Answer

an atom has a no charge or has a net charge zero as it contains equal number of electrons and protons .for example a sodium atom Na has 11 protons and 11 electrons .mathematically +11_11 =0 hence no charge .

Yes, and even more than that: equal numbers of each kindof atoms.

Is there a positive charge in atoms with equal numbers?

Atoms have positive protons in the nucleus with an equal number of negative electrons around the outside the nucleus. No there is no charge on an atom with equal numbers of protons and electrons.

How do the numbers of protons neutrons and electrons for an element compare?

In the neutral state, all atoms of the same element contain equal numbers of protons and electrons. However, most elements have atoms with different numbers of neutrons. These are called isotopes.

How many atoms are in H3O4?

The amount of atoms in H3O4 can be determined by adding the subatomic numbers. 3 atoms of hydrogen and 4 atoms of oxygen equal 7 atoms.

What do most atoms have equal parts of?

Protons and Electrons. Furthermore this is true of ALL atoms not "most".

Which statement is true Isotopes are atoms of different elements with equal mass. For the same element they have equal numbers of neutrons. Isotopes of a given element have similar chemical properties?

Isotopes are atoms of the same element with different numbers of neutrons. They do have very similar chemical properties. In fact for most purposes we can consider them identical.

What term means equal numbers if atoms exist on each side of a chemical equation?

A Balanced equation is one where equal number of atoms exist on either side.

What chemical equation has equal numbers of reactant and product atoms?

Any chemical reaction.

Why do atoms have no electric charge even through most of there particles have charges?

A neutral atom has equal numbers of positively charged protons and negatively charged electrons.

Electronically Do neutral atoms have equal numbers of electrons and protons?

Yes, this is the pure elimental form of an atom. Atoms with a charge are called Ions.

In a polyatomic ion the algebraic sum of the oxidation numbers of all atoms is equal to?

the charge on that ion

Does no and no2 have the same empirical formulas?

No: The formula NO shows equal numbers of nitrogen and oxygen atoms in the compound, but the formula NO2 shows twice as many oxygen atoms as nitrogen atoms.
