The wild ones are grey and dark colours so that preditors can't see them very easily. Bettas that have been bred for beauty, though, are very beautiful with bright colours and big tails. When you hear 'Siamese fighting fish' or 'Chinese fighting fish' you imagine something really ugly but they will surprise you!
they are small fish, about 3-5 inches long. and they come in colors like pink, blue, etc. And it's spelled 'BETtA'
looks like a little molly
Brown and stringy
No. Male bettas can be kept in community aquariums, but should not be kept with fish that look anything like they do, or are small enough to eat. A male betta will mistake a guppy for another betta and kill it. Female bettas, however, can be kept with other "betta-like" fish without a problem.
Betta's are pretty good with other fish, it's rare that they will fight, maybe with other betta's
You can only put them together if they are female. bythe way, beta is actually spelled betta. You can only put them together if they are female. bythe way, beta is actually spelled betta. You can only put them together if they are female. bythe way, beta is actually spelled betta.
Before the mating period, the male betta will create a bubble nest, where the eggs will reside. Once the female is near, they will usually fight each other before finally mating. Once they finish, the male will take the eggs in his mouth and put them in the nest. If these are pet betta fish, then the female should be removed after an hour or two.
They look like actual cows.
it looks like they have a big bubble in their side
Yes. They are the same species, Betta splendens, just different types.
big around the stomach just like a human!
If you would like to know what gender your betta is, look for the egg spot. (for females) It should be a small white cloud between the head and body. If your betta has one, it's a female. If your betta doesn't have one, it's a male.
Under normal circumstances the female Betta looks and is smaller than the male in both body and finage.
They look just like Big betta fish, but smaller.
Usually, they won't have big beautiful tails. They have smaller bodies in general also.
a fat betta fish
a male Betta will usually like the company of other fish but will fight or kill others of their kind also they might fight guppies cause they look similar to a female Betta.
The male Betta is beautiful with a flowing back fin, with bright and eye-catching colors, and they are bigger than the female bettas. But the female Betta doesnt have flowing fins and they dont have bright colors, but the brightest color you can probably get is orange and i think white for the female.
Well Betta breeding is tricky, some betta keepers are "ok" but others are NOT, your betta keeper must have a seperater to separate the male from the female. You must do this so the male can get use to the look of the female.. After 1-2 days put the female in with the male.. And watch them, if they fight then you will have to separate them again.
a female beta is rather drab with only a little colouring at the tips of her fins and tail
