What does exhaust smoke on acceleration from 55 mean?

If it hasn't been driven hard for a while and it clears up after some high speed d driving it is ok but if it smokes all of the time the rings or valve seals are bad.

velocity (v) is intial velocity (vo) +acceleration (a) x time (t);v = vo + at; since initial velocity is 0, then a = v/t = 55/4 = 13.75 f/s/s
