Either it means the male thought it was food by mistake, it wanted to play with the female, or it just did not feel comfortable around her at the time.
is it mating season if it isn't territorial
It depends. A smaller dragon might take bites, and eat normally. A large dragon might simply swallow a human whole, and possibly even alive. Of course, this is kinda just assumption, because Dragons don't exist!
It means you should not be housing your bearded dragons in the same enclosure, and need to IMMEDIATELY separate them into their own enclosures. Also, the dragon with the missing tail should see a vet.
Komodo dragons seem to hunt, when they are hungry. But I watched a television show just recently, and some people believed in that particular country that when a Komodo Dragon attacks a human it is normally their destiny. I particularly like the Komodo Dragon, even though it has a poisonous tongue and vicious claws and tails.
yes they are poisonous
komodo dragons dont have any poison in there system so there not poisonous but the do have bad bacteria in there syliva that eats away energy in there prey. the komodo dragon hunts its food by inflicting a single bite on its prey and after the it bites its victim it stalks the prey until the victim drops to the floor then it finishes the job and feeds itself
yes, it is the female that bites
Yes there is. Anti-bacterial cleaning of the wouund, debrieding, drains and antibiotics is effective treatment of Komodo bites.
Well, depending on the gender, it is usually because they are territorial. If a male bites a female, it wont stop till it gets a territory of its own, so if you have a male and a female, and the male is biting, sell one immediately (preferably the male). If the female is biting, it is scared, so again, sell one immediately.
Small ones take bites and chew, big ones probably just swallow things whole.
It has been said that KOMODO DRAGONS can eat up to 8 pounds(or more) of food a day and they will eat virtually any thing that moves. It also includes their own and carcasses. it has powerful jaws so that it can break whatever part of its food it bites instantly. the other name for the KOMODO DRAGON is ORA. Although there are other names for the KOMODO DRAGON, you can check out HONOLULUZOO.ORG for more names and facts. good luck with whatever you are doing!! :) :p :D
The female bites, she needs a 'blood meal' before she lays eggs. It is only the female mosquitoes that bite.
