I honestly don't know what it means. Have you tried asking him? Honesty is the best policy in any relationship. If he can't honestly answer you, no matter what he says, maybe he's not worth pursuing. He's definitely not worth persuing if you dn't like him. I'm assuming you do since you bothered to ask. I hope it works out.
