But having it last for more than a month is not something that usually happens. It may not be anything serious, but you should definitely discuss it with your doctor, who can advise you on a proper treatment for this condition.

∙ 9y agoIf your period lasts for more than 5-7 days then it means just that - it lasted longer. The average period is 5-7 days but that doesn't mean that everyone's is that long and nor does it mean every period of yours will be this long, your body is not a machine so will not start/stop like one.
