It just means it need an oil change and tune up. It does not monitor any engine systems and is only a reminder. Reset it at any time you please unless you actually use it as a reminder for maintenance. It also means that you have drivin your Honda for 5,000 miles :) I own a 1997 Honda Accord and my indicator light just turned RED but it was do to the fact that I slammed into someone and I guess the impact made the light come on but for the most part you can reset the indicator by putting your key in the slot next to the indicator if you have oneOr try to hold down the "Trip" button so it resets and this should work if it doesn't then get an oil change and a tune up and that should work :)
means u need to take it to Honda dealer, many things can be wrong nothing specific
Time to schedule required maintenance.
It depends on what indicator you are using. Yellow with the bromothymol blue indicator is acidic, yellow with the methyl orange indicator is basic, yellow with the phenol red indicator is acidic and yellow with the universal indicator is acidic.
The yellow radiator light on your Honda Accord is an indicator of low coolant in the radiator. The red radiator warning light is an indication of the engine overheating.
Universal Indicator Yellow was created in 1993.
It means Maintence is required. Open your owner's manual and it will explain this in detail. If this is the same as on a 1996 Honda Accord then after you get your oil changed if you push the button that is right next to it it will turn green again that is my take on it. Mine turned from yellow to red and I pushed the button and it did nothing but after I changed the oil and pushed the button it turned back to green.

Are you refering to the "Check Engine yellow light" or the little square box near the bottom of the display panel center section? When scheduled maintenance is required the normal green color in the square box will change color to yellow. It is to remind you that the routine maintenance according to the owners manual is due. To change it back to the normal green color "insert you ignition key into the slot below the box and press in" this will reset to the normal position. I have a 1994 Honda accord LX since it was new and is now 14 years old-belive me this is the correct procedure according to the owners manual. Ethan McKay email@example.com
i have a 97 acura 3.0 cl and just recently got an oil change and the maintenance required light switched from green to yellow, what does this mean?
stick the ignition key into the slot under the yellow or red indicator on the instrument panel and push, and it will easily reset. I wish newer cars had this feature.
the engine light requires a scanner most auto parts stores will pull the code for you. The maintenance light means you need an oil change
if a solution has a normal concentration of carbondioxide then the hydrogencarbonate indicator is going to turn red but if the solutin gets acidic i.e concentration of carbondioxide increases then the indicator will turn yellow..
This information can be found in your owner's manual. If you do not have one then get one. Sources are, Dealer, Salvage Yard, E-Bay, and a Google Search. Type in "auto owner's manuals" and you will get several sites that sell them. There is a slot next to the indicator. Stick your Key in it. Stick your key into the slot next to the indicator light and press on the button for about 15 seconds. That should reset it. It will come on again the next time your mileage reaches a recommended service interval (approx 7,500 miles).
