More then likely it means she don't like him, she's giving him "love bites", or you put him in HER cage.
Female Guinea Pigs are very territorial. If you put him in her cage you may want to take him out and introduce them again on unfamiliar ground like maybe in a box or on the floor let them get used to each other (and while they are, clean out her cage and use soap and water to get her scent off of it so she won't realize it's her cage when you put them both back) If she don't like him she'll bite hard enough to make him squeal and possibly even draw blood and she'll chase him all around the cage. If this is the case you may have to get rid of one or buy another cage for the other Guinea Pig. If you just want them together to breed them then keep him away until she's in the latest phase of heat (touching her backside makes but come up and she coos) then put HER in his cage...they should breed rather then fight but it's not 100% guarenteed. If it's love bites she'll only do it ever so often and it's just tiny nibbles that make him squel or coo...if this is the case no biggie just leave them alone.
when a male guiunea pig makes a vibrating noise to a female guinea pig that means that they are getting to know each other and are happy. a very helpful website that will help you is the guineapigsclub.com! mating may also be another possiblity.
They are trying to assert dominance. Like most animals they are just trying to say listen here I am the boss so you will follow me and do as I say. I had this happen more than usual because I ended up with two boys who both wanted to be the boss. Eventually they will stop or if you have a younger and older usually the younger one will not try to be the dominant one.
They might care for eachother, or they're fighting. If you hear squeeky sqeals, could be bad or good. Just pay attention to their behavior, ok?
Don't worry, it is just a sign of dominance
my female guinea pigs do it too when they are in season
It maybe because of her territorial behavior. She is seeing him as an outsider and she wants to be the leader of that area. So,you should separate the male quickly.
To show that they do not like each other.
I think male guinea pigs are called boars. Or if you want a name for one i called mine Neo.
Sperm
Of course you can. But is it smart to?
Sure! I have 3 males in one cage right now! The squabble some but they can get along fine!
you shouldn't put the male back unless it has been desexed because he will get your female pregnate
A male Guinea Pig is called a boar.Females are called sows.Boars.The term for a male guinea pig is a boar.
Well actually yes, they might fight. Males guinea pig's in general tend to fight with another therefor, it is a better idea to have two females or a male and a female together. But some males can get along, but usually males tend to fight.
A male guinea pig is referred to as a Boar.
Well, they tried to anyhow. Probably. That's how they do it. if the male jumps on the females back they were trying but they got interupted by someone walking past them or coming to their cage.
they mate by the male running after the female and he corners her then he will get on top of her and release his penise into the females butt.so the male is pretty much humping the female.=]LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLits actually the male doing a dance for the female by waving his hips around and making a weird purr, and then he jumps on her, and does the crazzyy. ;) believe me, i had two guinea pigs, that's what happened, and they had babies.if its a male they mate with a female if its female they mate with a male the female becomes pregnant and give live birth in a couple weeks. all mammals are like this
Male Guinea Fowl can be called both a 'Cock' or a 'Rooster'
Your male guinea pig is trying to mate with your female guinea pig.
